For a change of pace we moved about 3 miles north to the Coco Bandero Cays.
We'd been looking at them from the Green Island anchorage and thought that
they looked very nice. The description in the cruising guide made it sounds
great with "complete protection from the north and the east." Well, maybe
that's true under normal circumstances, but according to the person who gives
the weather on the Panama Net, the seas, from Cartegena to Honduras, are
running at the highest level that he's ever seen them. As a result this turned
into very rolly anchorage. What made it even worse was that the island
completely blanketed BlueJacket from the wind. Boat 100' away on either side
had wind, but the anchorage is small and the holding poor, so I decided not to
move. That made it hot. Well, this is a 1 night anchorage.
