It was another beautiful sail to Crasqui, which is another island in Los Roques. The winds have been blowing 15-20 for days now, and they continued for the sail here.  I put up the main and the jib and was doing 7-8 kts most of the way, which was only 7+ miles.

Crasqui is about 2 miles long and varies between 100' and 1/2 of a mile wide.  The western side is all white sand beach. You anchor in 10+ feet of water, once again providing that beautiful aqua color. After anchoring I went off and explored via dinghy.  This is obviously a popular destination for the folks from Gran Roques, as there are several beach restaurants.  For a treat we went to one and had some very good fish.

After lunch we headed off to snorkle on the SE end of the island. The reef was quite nice, but the most amazing thing was the quantity of 1-2" fish.  Ken from Storm Petrel claimed that there were trillions of them, and he may not have been far off. There were many times that you couldn't see the reef due to them.

Last night Stormy Petrel came over for a grilled chicken feast.  We had chicken, fresh green beans, tomato salad, scalloped potatoes and a chocolate cake that Bonnie had made.  All of that while sitting in the cockpit watching the full Halloween moon rise made for a great evening.
