The sail to Curacao was GREAT. The winds were blowing at 17-23 kts right on the stern & BlueJacket was flying! According to the log the top speed was 9.6 kts with an average of 8.2 kts. Not bad with a hull speed of 8.2 kts! The seas were 5-7 feet and on the port stern quarter making for a rolly ride. But it sure was fast!

Docking was a challenge as there was 15+ kts on the beam, and I've been anchoring for ages, so it was "fun". It didn't help that they had me come in for a port side tie-up & the boat backs to starboard...But everything went just fine. Plenty of dock hands to grab lines. The marina, the Seru Boca, is very nice. Well maintained & very friendly people.

I spent the afternoon and evening trying to figure out why the dock GFCI would blow as soon as I flipped the shore breaker in the boat. After about 4 hours with the help of an electrician we finally decided that there's a tiny leak somewhere & if you put a load on the system when you power it up and then introduce the leak, the GFCI breaker can't detect it. But if you only have the leak, it'll pop. After all of that I found that the power is 125 V, but it's 2 phase and my equipment isn't happy with that. Tomorrow I'll check into an isolation transformer or something like that. What a pain.
