Had an awesome sail from Los Testigos. Started off with 17 kts on the beam, went to no wind, and finished with 17 kts on the stern. Made the trip in about 8 hours.

Porlamar is very nice. Water is very clean & people are friendly. A beer is $0.33 US and a beef tenderloin at a nice restaurant is $8.00. And get this, diesel is $0.55 US per gallon! Fill those tanks! Can see why cruisers hang out here.

More boat problems. The alternator isn't charging. I think that the regulator is the problem. Got to repair a leaking head today. Oh joy...Finished rigging alarm system for boat and dinghy. Lots of dinghy thefts. Genset running slightly better. Crisis in US making it very hard to get new membrane for watermaker here.

It's hot...108 in the sun today. Mid 90s out of the sun. Rigged additional sun screening for cockpit. Works great. Make's it so that you can use cockpit without constantly shifting.
